I’ve just spent nearly an entire month in my home state of Missouri. That’s the longest I’ve stayed since moving to New York almost 20 years ago, and something Anthony and I wanted to take advantage of during our time off. We were mostly in Kansas City, where I was born and raised, with a few days in mid-Missouri, where I went to college. My sister moved to LA years ago and while we were away on our adventure, my parents relocated full-time to southern California. I think not having them there anymore made me even more nostalgic for where I grew up. Anthony’s family is still in KC, along with my childhood friends and memories and a skyline that I know so well. These photos are a glimpse into my hometown. And the beautiful people and places in it.
