I was in the Philippines twice in 9 months, 2 years ago. It was somewhat therapeutic for me as I quickly developed a passion for the smiling Filipino people. The culture was something I felt I had never seen anything like yet felt this experience had long been overdue in experiencing. To make a long story short, I was humbled. I married a Filipina in January of 2015. We will be returning to the Philippines soon and are making plans to move there. Denise, thank you so much for sharing. I really enjoyed this. I always remember Tricie (Tracy she was called) when she went to St. Charles grade school. It must have been quite an experience for her as she came her for that year. Nonetheless, thank you so much for posting this.
